So these things happened
Our 7:25 p.m. Monday flight to Frankfurt out of Newark was canceled. We found this out around noon. We were not able to connect with a Continental service agent until around five because they weren’t accepting calls all day because too many people were trying to call. The service agent told us that our only option was a Thursday flight to Hamburg, which is at the opposite end of the country...

infinitejess: This was one of those Christmases where you remember the stuff that really matters. In ways good and bad. Here was a good. My dad saying, “Hey, there’s a box of magazines with Courtney Love on them upstairs, do you want it?” Because. You know what else I knew I’d find in that box? I have not squealed like that on Christmas morning in quite some time.
